Load type > Mean wind load (WINDM and WINDG)

Input of a general wind loading via specification of a wind profile and the wind direction. The wind profile describes the wind velocity distribution over the height. The profile is evaluated and the static forces for mean wind (load type WINDM) or for relevant gust wind (load type WINDG) are calculated for each element.

Note: Dynamic properties of the wind profile are neglected. Load type WINDG is the same than WINDM, except that the mean wind forces are multiplied by the dynamic gust factor as specified in the wind profile.

Setting	Description
From, To, Step	Element series to be loaded
Assembly	Alternative to load assignment via element series: Name of the assembly to be loaded. The specified load is applied to every element of the specified assembly.
Rx, Ry, Rz	Direction vector of the mean wind
Wind No.	Number of the assigned wind profile containing the remaining parameters describing the wind loading (density, velocity, distribution over the height, etc.)
